Robotics, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - Robotics Institute TTPB: I got these numbers from the RI Website, navigating to People -> Students. If you notice, MRSD 2019 has 45 students, but MRSD 2020 has only 19 :/ So assuming that they went for 45 people in 2020 as well, 45-19=26 people would have probably deferred their admits. I guess this may have lowered the intake this year, but I'm not really sure. :(

Robotics, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - Robotics Institute Applied to both PhD and MS program. PhD application was rejected without interview. Got admitted to the MS program. 2 strong LoR. 1 pub under review. GPA 3.9+ with many grad-level robotics classes.

Robotics (MSR, MSCV, MRSD), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - Robotics Institute Rejected from MSR, MSCV and MRSD :/ Had a compelling research profile - one A* publication, one A* submission under review, average GPA and strong LoR's from well-known Profs (including one from a CMU alum). Really thought I'd atleast get MRSD. Looks like only 20 and 8 people enrolled for MRSD and MSCV in Fall '20 respectively, which may have really lowered the intake this year :(

Robotics, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - Robotics Institute Anyone got any news on what's happening with the MSR waitlist, how many people are on it, and what the chances are of getting it now? Are deferrals affecting MSR admissions too?
