University Of OxfordPolitical Science Comparative Government, Masters (F19)Rejected via E-mail on 14 Mar 2019 U14 Mar 2019
  • MPhil in Comparative Government. Received the email about 20 minutes ago. (around 5p.m. UK time) Very generic letter. Saying the application this year is very competitive, and the department cannot offer all excellent applicants with admissions. Also mentioned that due to the high volume and the university policy, the department is not able to tell reasons for rejection. That's it. Hope it helps those who have not heard from the DPIR. rnAlmost devastated. The waiting is over. Congrats to those admitted.

  • To the posts below: you certainly still have a chance if you have not heard from them yet. Many (!) students are admitted from the waitlist to the program. I can't say for sure, but my guess is that the waitlist is unofficial and that no one is rejected before April when the incoming class has been confirmed.
