  • Accepted with $20,000 Phoenix Research Award. Will almost definitely accept, unless UofT (MA, Poli Sci) accepts me off of their waitlist. Couldn't be happier, since McGill and UBC both rejected me from their MA programs. Time to find me $44,000 USD to cover the rest of tuition and living expenses :P

  • TPB, mine was also 'under review' till this morning. Checked out the website and saw the rejection. Well, I think I shouldn't have been hopeful in the first place, given they throw away dozens of waitlists. This was a completely failed application cycle. Good luck to everybody.

  • I emailed the DGS early today and asked about my status on the waitlist, he confirmed that I will not be getting an offer of admissions. Welp, guess this means my cycle is officially over, with 6r/0a its a bit rough. But I am hopeful for next year!

  • Oh well, I have a Math. double major. I have an A on graduate real analysis, and took any math course that is even remotely related to Economics. I have taken analysis courses most of economics professors did not even heard of and made them. I have taken phd level courses as electives during my economics bachelor, and took around 6 graduate level courses. I have a GPA of above 3.90 in both my majors. I was rejected last week. It has NOTHING to do with your GPA or whatever courses. The only thing that matters is which school you are from, who your referees are.
