MAPSS History, University Of Chicago I applied straight from undergrad. I was rejected from the History PhD and I was offered a $15k scholarship--- the price is still egregious lmao! Luckily I did get into a PhD program so I will be declining this offer I fear.

MAPSS Sociology, University Of Chicago thank god. all phd apps have been rejections so far, so this is a backup in case i dont get into any. rejected from chicago's sociology phd and application was put through to the masters pool

Economics, University Of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) Email from the Director of Graduate Studies of the Economics Department, that I have been placed on the waitlist but my rank is high and will likely be admitted. Admission comes with financial aid and health care.

Political Science, University Of Pennsylvania applied to 5 top poli sci phd programs this year, all rejected. International student, field: political communication, without poli sci degrees. Poli sci phd programs are so competitive and it seems that they don't welcome students from outside majors, compared with so called "tech" phd programs like hci, information, and cs, these programs seem more friendly. However, got a MA offer from Chicago MAPSS - poli sci. It's an encouragement.
