  • I e-mailed the program director for an update and got a generic reject response. I understand they had twice as many applicants this year and honestly I'm not surprised. But with a bit of good fortune today I received an acceptance with the Materials Science program at CSU so all is well!

  • Rejected upon inquiry (finally). "Thank you for your interest in the Perimeter Scholars International program for 2019. We received 688 applications for the 30 positions available, and unfortunately we are not able to extend offers to all of the excellent students who applied. I regret to inform you that we will be unable to offer you a position in our Perimeter Scholars International program. " Four years of research experience in computational fluid dynamics (two years), computational astrophysics (two years), theoretical biophysics (summer), theoretical high energy physics (two years, thesis project), and semiclassical statistical physics (two summers [inclusive of this next summer]). Two REU's and one internship at a national laboratory. Two papers currently under review (one in theoretical biophysics one in high energy physics). Three conference presentations.
