  • I managed to get in contact with a professor in the admission committee. He said that the acceptance rate of the offers they sent is high enough for them to have a full class next fall. He says it is unlikely for them to send out offers for those in the wait-list. Please reject your UCD offer if you have a better one. This is our last chance. Thank you all anyways.

  • Haven't heard any update from them since mid-February when my application got logged to the department for review. Emailed graduate admissions last week and they just said it takes 4-6 weeks (been longer than that at this point) to hear back and I should hear back soon. Has anyone heard back from RIT yet, specifically for any of their physics programs?

  • TTPB: They been sending out rejection and acceptance e-mails since late Feburary. If you are hoping to get in, it's not a bad sign if you haven't heard yet, might mean you're on the wait list. After the April 15th deadline, spots might open up.

  • Has anyone heard any sort of update from the physics department or graduates admission? I've applied for their Physics PhD program, but haven't heard a word from them - not even if it was sent to the department for review or if maybe I have been wait listed. Then when I emailed the physics department last week, I have yet to get an answer. Has anyone heard anything from Vanderbilt regarding the Physic programs? I have yet to hear anything from four schools I applied to, which at this point I feel is somewhat strange.

  • Upward trend in GPA, addressed low first year performance in personal statement. On top of improving class performance, involved in various reserach projects past two years (i.e. Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, and Physics Education). Hopefully this can show people that as long as you put in the effort your earlier self doesn't hold you back from pursuing your dreams.

  • TTPB: I contacted the graduate program director (listed on the website as Prof. Rez) asking when I should expect a decision, but he forwarded my question to Prof. Jeff Drucker (he is the graduate admissions director) who then replied with the decision. So I think you should contact Prof. Drucker directly. Good luck.

  • TTPB: I have accepted my offer at UC Davis, and I have emailed Angela multiple times over the past month to tell her, but she hasn’t replied. This is just to point out that waitlisted people aren’t the only one’s who aren’t getting replies. I hope you get your answer soon.

  • - they emailed to check update in the website. Status was updated to ‘denied’ there. - I attended the open house. I heard almost everyone from the open house get admission offer. Apparently that’s not true at all. [Wrath be upon them]
