  • TTPB: Re Texas A&M - I received the same "not competitive" notification. It's entertaining that you seem to think I'm "bottom of the barrel" unqualified since I received three acceptances in January, one less than three weeks after I submitted my application. I'll be attending Minnesota on a four-year academic fellowship. So guess I'm not as unqualified as you and Texas A&M appear to believe. And no, I'm not an international student (generic, domestic wm).

  • TTPsB: Texas A&M.. he was not blaming the intl students, just the schools. Taxes should matter. We built the schools over years of hard work and funding. We're failing to educate our own people. Why do you think there are climate deniers, flat earthers and creationists saying that is science? Problem with voting toward conservative side though is they will stop all science. Vote democrat and write to your congress people about the schools and taxes..

  • TTPB: on the off chance you’re not just baiting, just to let you know, the “profile was not competitive with other applicants” email is one of a few different rejection emails A&M sends out. It means you were at the absolute bottom of the barrel, and totally unqualified for the program. Maybe you should look at your own flaws, instead of blaming international students (many of whom, given that email, are far, far more qualified than you) for your rejection.

LOR from Nobel Laureate and President of the company I work for. Veteran. Two degrees in physics and chemistry. Whelp, off to do a Master's at UO.

  • "Not competitive with the other applicants." I'm changing my vote so that Americans are always considered first for anything supported by our own tax dollars.
