  • Checked the website. The same old generic invitation to MA in bioethics. I'm wondering: given that my AOI is metaphysics, philosophy of language and philosophical logic, how exactly does The College of Global Public Health forms the "belief" that I may be an excellent candidate for their master's program in Bioethics? lol
New York University ( NYU)Philosophy, PhD (F19)Rejected via Website on 18 Mar 2019 18 Mar 2019
  • Well dang. As consolation(?) they said: "While the Graduate School of Arts and Science was not able to offer you admission to their Ph.D. program, the College of Global Public Health believes that you may be an excellent candidate for their master's program in Bioethics." Not much of a consolation lmao. 3 more schools to hear from. Getting depressing...

  • Checked portal. They are doing that bioethics plug again. Pretty tasteless. To the person bellow who asked whether anyone has heard back from NYU: from my experience, the longer you wait, the more likely it is you've been added to a pretty long rejection list. But I guess there are exceptions. Lets see how many NYU rejections rack up today. Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news.
