  • Accepted with 10k merit, but not eligible for 12k need-based (and my family isn't exactly rich). Guaranteed TAship with details TBD, but the email did say it would pay $3200. I also wouldn't say this is decent or solid funding, considering tuition is upwards of $50,000. No funded visit, and the visiting weekend begins Apr 13, which is waaaay too close to the International Day of Doom. Currently unsure if it's worth it, but I hope this info is helpful.

  • Very kind email from Michael Devitt on 2/28, saying I have an "excellent chance" of admission and "we would love to have you in our program." Follow-up email on 3/23, saying my chances are still excellent and asking which others schools have accepted me. 0a/1w/5r –– please decline your offer if you won't be enrolling at the Graduate Center!

  • So, I see 1 (one) poster for BGSU reporting a result (waitlisted-- sincere congrats and good luck). BGSU's thread here on the results is typically not quiet, so I'm confused at the moment. Could any others who've heard back PLEASE post your results, so I and others like me could attempt to gain some perspective. I mean I find only one waitlist post and nothing else to be somewhat odd at this point, that is, unless they're working a particular method for this cycle (e.g., elimination via waitlist). Please post 'em if you got 'em! It would be much appreciated!

  • Had a verbal reassurance that I would get an offer for a good while now, so I'm quite relieved to finally hold it on paper. Conditional on receiving a 2.1/65. A bit anxious about the tuition fees for the second year not being set yet, though.
