Had first round of interviews, but was not invited to final interview stage in March. I was made aware by my POI that My CS/Engineering background did not match the profile that they were looking for in BCS. Grateful nonetheless, all the best to everyone else!

Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Generic rejection mail. Unexpected and shocked! I interviewed with them in early January. Maybe because of less research work (1 year) in the field I applied in. Profile: 1 Publication in progress, 4 Research Experiences (1 full year experience), Class Rank 1, Lot of Community Services and Social Work, TA for 2 courses. Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Generic rejection email. Was expecting this, congrats to everyone who got in!! Did around 3 years of research with 2 publications from it, also a few presentation awards and other ECs. I don't think my essays were that strong and also my grades in my ChemE coursework were subpar. Good luck to all!

Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Got the call today! Two weeks after the interview. Said letter coming within a day or two. Stats: 3 yrs of extensive research, 6 publications (incl. journal articles, conference proceedings and book chapters) and 1 manuscript under progress.
