Biomedical Engineering, Dartmouth College I receive the interview invitation on nearly 3.15.(in person) and get the formal offer on 3.28. The offer includes the professor's name. So, I think the decision of admission depends on the professor not committee. if you are interested in PhD program at Dartmouth, try to contact to the professor. Good luck with you application

Mechanical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University I had two rounds of interview. The first round was in late February. Next, I had another interview 30 mins prior to me receiving the acceptance letter. I am from IIT Bombay, Master's GPA 4.0 ; NIT Silchar Undergrad GPA 3.6. My work is very closely related to my advisor and co-advisor. I also have work experience in Deloitte and Indian Oil Corporation. (1.5 years in total). Not sure what worked exactly. (P.S. Didn't include GRE in my application. TOEFL score 106: 28R,30L, 24S,24W)

Civil Engineering, Purdue University - West Lafayette I was inspired by an article posted on Reddit that mentioned one should pursue their dreams and actively contact the committee if the status remains pending. I sent an email to the graduate committee, and they replied to me the following day. Unfortunately, I received a rejection letter after contacting them. Interesting.
