While it is true that most admissions decisions have now been released, about 10% of applications need one more look. The SES Admissions Committee expects to have a decision for you early next week, likely Monday afternoon or Tuesday. AeroAstro, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology If you look at previous year post warning that qualification does not matter any more it is true. Getting more journals at top venue will not help you. I have plenty of papers and feel like I am applying for postdoc but those papers are not what they are looking for. Focus on getting connections and matching to MIT prof research (not advisable) if you really want to get into MIT. Or better still, focus on doing good work and let your papers speak for yourself. Physics, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology Email to check portal update. No GRE. Plasma physics subfield. Also got into the MIT Nuclear Science & Engineering PhD program. Had an interview for NSE but none for Physics. 4 years of irrelevant high school/undergrad research experience + 0.5 years of relevant experience. No pubs.

Physics, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology Ignore waitlist. Anyone know what's up with phys grad admissions in general?? I feel like historically most schools publish at least some admissions by 2/14, but based off of gradcafe and my lack of emails seems like everyone (notably big names like Princeton, Harvard, MIT) is very delayed this year and it is stressing me out...
