EE, Electrical Engineering, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) Hi again U applicant...I got into the Energy Systems track. I've also gotten into Purdue, Wisconsin, Carnegie Mellon, UPenn, and Georgia Tech so far. I'm hoping to reach for Stanford. What's your first choice?

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) To the 'I' regarding UT-Austin. I haven't heard from anyone else as yet (except rejection from Berkeley), so I guess UT is the only option for now. I'm waiting on UCSB, Stanford, UIUC, and Cornell. Who did you here back from? Which track?

As you may know, MTL always receives far more applications from highly qualified applicants than our program is able to accept. This year, we received 168 applications for two fellowships, which means we had to turn away many outstanding candidates. Each application the program receives is evaluated holistically; this means that we do not eliminate files on the basis of a single factor such as GRE scores or GPAs. Each file is read with great care, with a view toward the candidate's academic history, accomplishments, interests, and fit with the program."

Operational Research, Stanford University Standard rejection email; 1st rejection...SUCKS. Worst part is I sold my xbox 360 to pay for the damn app fee :( Now, I've no video game to help distract me from my depression
