Philosophy, Duke University I figured I'd put this here for future candidates: Interviewed at Duke today. My interview, at least, was essentially SoP in interview form: Why are you pursuing PhD? What topics interest you? Why are you applying to Duke? Writing sample questions (including some questions probing criticism) Here's hoping I didn't make a fool of myself! I got the sense that this is a final cut type of interview rather than a vetting of candidates they hoped to accept. But I may be wrong. Posting to give insight because these interviews are relatively new and it's good to have the information out there.
