English, University Of Florida To the Oxford poster below - I apologise if I sounded arrogant - it isn't part of my nature. It's just that I'm disappointed. Obviously you figured you could get into post-grad studies at Oxford (or else you most likely would not have applied), and I'm delighted for you and wish you well, for I have enjoyed my time at Oxford and assume you will enjoy yours. Just understand that I felt well enough qualified for Florida that's all. Add me on Facebook - Regent's Park College (initials J.J.) Thanks.

Astronomy, California Institute Of Technology (Caltech) Just call to the admission office. The dept. told all decisions are made. I think all who haven't got any acceptance calls would get rejection sooner or later...Sad..

Political Science, New School For anyone interested: Spoke to administrator who informed me that all decisions have been made; acceptance/rejection letters going out at the same time (sometime this week). I tried to press her for my decision over the phone and was told that she was not allowed to tell me anything; must wait for official mailed letter. Any suggestions how I should interpret this; was I rejected and she didn't want to tell me?

Political Science, UMD Mine also says pending decision. If you check the 2006 returns they were all made in mid march, so I don't think a pending decision is bad right now.

Philosophy, Tufts University Yes, whether you get into a top PhD program after 3-5 years at Tufts is "all up to YOU" because the professors certainly aren't going to help. They're never around.

All PhD, Harvard University Based on the posts here, should I assume that my snail mail response will be a rejection if I don't get an e-mail first? Has anyone been accepted to a PhD at Harvard without prior e-mail notification?
