Philosophy, University Of Maryland College Park I was on the waitlist and was notified by email that they will not be going onto the waitlist for students with my area of interest. Supposedly they haven't gone onto the waitlist at all. Guys, I'm still on five waitlists and it sounds like none of them have moved at all. People really need to decline offers they will not accept and asked to be removed from waitlists they will not consider. I had three offers and declined two of them, I also asked to be removed from several waitlists which I was not considering. But there is just too much gridlock at the moment and people are going to get screwed over. Please start declining offers you won't accept, it's almost the fifteenth and there are a lot of people like me who really don't want to have to accept an offer only to get into a school I'd prefer after the fifteenth.

Physics PhD, Purdue University - West Lafayette Out of all my applications, I, personally, felt I was best suited for Purdue WL. I would have thrived there bro. It was my reach college and I really wanted to be there. But now, I am getting this overwhelming sadness. The last couple of months have been some of the hardest months in my life. I feel so so sad. I want to cry so hard but at the same time I'm feeling numb. So tears can't roll down my f******* eyes. Dreams got shattered to 1000 pieces BRUH. This is it guys. It's over for me.

English, University Of Texas At Austin MA GPA- studying collective memory and rhetorics. This is the culmination of three cycles with nothing. Near unaccredited undergrad schools. This website was not conducive to stable mental health. Good luck everyone and wishing y’all the best!

Electrical Engineering, Georgia Institute Of Technology Has anyone hear back from Georgia Tech. I haven't hear back and my application was submitted on time. This was the response I get, anyone else in the similar boat or knows if there is a waitlist?: All completed files will receive a decision whether accepted or denied admission or *denied admission to Atlanta but referred to the international campuses (* MSECE applicants only) no later than June 1.

Computer Science, University Of California, San Diego I was hoping that good news would come from all the waiting. However, I could not have been more wrong, and it blows; UCSD is my dream school. Moreover, I am a recently separated US Navy veteran who worked in cryptology for close to 4 years. I have no published papers and did not go to a top university; however, I had three strong letters of recommendation, a strong SOP, a solid GPA, immense drive, dedication, and proven work experience, which I hoped would lead to acceptance. But, in the end, it wasn't enough. (Although I am very happy for all those who were accepted and hope all the hard work pays off!) P.S. While looking over the UCSD website and after contacting them about the university's demographics out of pure curiosity, I am unsure if they actually consider and or accept veterans. Additionally, when I asked how many actual veterans (those who served, not family members) attend, they said they do not have the information to give. So, if you're a veteran and find yourself curious about the inclusivity of this university, keep this in mind: you might not be as important of a consideration as others, and apparently, you have to be okay with it.

Physics, New York University Physics & mathematics double major with 5 years of continuous research experience (starting 1 year prior to entering college), two REUs, one non-REU summer research program, one summer school in high-energy theory, and one summer school in mathematics (participated in two programs over some summers). One first-author publication, another in writing, and one poster presentation at an undergraduate research symposium. Three years as a teaching assistant for introductory physics courses, and one semester as a teaching assistant for vector calculus. Wrote and/or significantly contributed to a few pieces of open-source software widely used in the field. Rejected by all 20 schools I applied to this year, and finding it incredibly hard to get a job with a physics/math degree.
