Urban Planning (Dept of City And Regonal Planning), University Of California, Berkeley (UCB) Emailed to ask about status, received one in return. Apparently all waitlisted candidates are invited to the admit day as well. WEIRD.

Wait listed American PhD
Sociology, New York University (NYU) I e-mailed the department secretary and that's how I found out. Apparently, they had more than 300 applications this year. Usually, the department admits "approximately 20-25 students in an effort to have an entering cohort of approximately 8-10 students"... The e-mail I received also says that all admitted students get full financial aid (including a stipend). I'd say though that my chances to make it off the waitlist are bleak...

Electrical Eng, Stanford University I got the email at 2:00 PM Pst exactly so I would expect all admissions email to come at about this time for electrical engineers since it seems to be done by computer. Applied for PhD and admitted to MS/PhD. No funding probably. More decisions likely next week.
