Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Basically, each department at CMU has its own admission process and schedule. So, It looks like CSD sent out their decision. Not yet the other department. Another note is that CMU has no multiple rounds. Single decision for all. If you didn't hear any news but someone did, you are very likely to be turned down.

MALD, Tufts The Fletcher School O! Fletcher and it's silly MALD...nothing to do with law, little to do with diplomacy..a perfect degree for those who can't pass LSATs or have nothing to do with themselves after volunteering abroad or gaining "professional experience" of some sort while working those entry-level positions. Still, easiest of all IR and Foreign Affairs school to get into. I'm going for SIPA.

Economics, City University Of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center I still haven't heard either. I emailed the department but no response so far, they are probably swamped with emails hence the no-response status. I don't know what's going on either, by going through the posts on gradcafe it appears that they are still plenty of students like myself yet to hear back. However, I am confident by June 10th all decisions will be made because its almost August.....

Economics, City University Of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center To all of you CUNY guys yet to hear from the Economics PhD program. If you have another offer take it and run. I applied there last year and never heard back. They did not even bothered sending a rejection letter or anything of that sort. my friend applied as well but was admitted sometimes late in June.Thats ridiculous!!!If you email Thurston he does not replied to emails, I took one of his class when I was doing my undergrad at Queens College and he never replied to students email. CUNY is a good school but if you got other offers take them and don't wait for those guys out there. It appears that many of you guys are still waiting to hear about your status. Good luck!

Economics, CUNY Graduate Center My guess is all you economics folks who have not heard are those on the waitlist for PhD, (and maybe someone who applied for the Masters, the deadline for which was mid April). CUNY seems to work on a later admit committee schedule than most other schools. Since their finals were last week, they should be more freed up by next week. I would e-mail Thurston if you don't hear ASAP (and if that doesn't work maybe organize a sit in.) It may turn out that funding is more of the issue rather than acceptance/rejection. Good Luck.
