Computer Science, University Of Wisconsin-Madison Tier-2 Undergrad: GPA - 9.64/10, Rank 3/250+, GRE: 337, TOEFL: 117. Work ex: 12 months Full-time + 6 months internship as an SDE at a startup, 2 months internship at a Tier-1 college. Research ex: 1 year in NLP under a professor in my undergrad. But no publications. Also some independent research experience for a few months. Couple of relevant projects. I would rate my SOP as strong. But this reject makes me question that. I presume my LORs were strong as well because both the academic LORs came from Professors who supervised me directly. My 3rd LOR was an industry one which was also strong because of my performance at my company. Applied for a concentration in Systems.
