Data Science, University Of California, San Diego B Tech in ECE from Tier-2 college. GRE was optional, but I submitted anyway. Strong SOP with a clear mention in research interests and decent LORs from both faculty and employer. Professional experience (almost 2 years) in Data Migration and Data Analysis role. Congratulations for admitted folks!

Computer Science, University Of California, San Diego The portal showed WES requirements this afternoon (PST), which indicates admission. Background is weak, no internship and concrete research experience, one competition, and several interesting programming projects.
