Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) 4 Conference pubs (3 accepted, 1 in-review), 1 workshop pub in top CS conference, 4 very strong LORs (My POI knows one of them + knows one of my co-authors for a paper). I think my main strength was the strong research fit with my POI. Had a few interviews (which is not normal for MIT EECS, but my POI wanted it). My undergraduate is MechE, not CS. Like others here, I received the acceptance email at 4:30pm EST.

Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Area: Speech/NLP. Undergrad from outside of USA, strong LoR, four 1st-author publications (3 conference / 1 under review), no internships. An informal chat with POI about two weeks ago. TOEFL scores never appeared on the app portal.

Materials Science And Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Perfect GPA from a top engineering school, 3.5 years of research, 4 pubs 2 presentations, 3 very strong LORs. I really don't know what I could've improved :/ doubting my life now…
