Graduate School Admission Results

The reason why Columbia is holding out so late is because they're seeing just how many of their international admitees are actually able to come to campus. I was accepted in March and they send me constant emails on updating my visa status, etc. They're just playing it as safe as possible so they don't miss any opportunities.

Is there any international student who didn't get a result yet? I didn't get any result even a waitlist..

Lol waitlisted but I seriously think is someone still waiting to accept? I suppose by now everyone must have accepted their admits and planning the logistics Columbia is making us fools. (

Waitlisted today after writing multiple strongly worded emails. This delay is ridiculous and so unprofessional for a University of Columbia's caliber. Almost seems like because they're so late with decisions, they're waitlisting individuals instead of actually making a decision right now.

Initially applied to the Computer Science Ph.D. program.

After over 4 months of waiting, finally was told today that I was put on the waitlist. Really feels like they could have told me that a lot sooner. At this point I've already paid my deposit and registered for classes elsewhere.

Wtf Columbia. Is this the time to add people to waitlists??? U should get ur waitlisted decisions by now. ( Got a mail saying status : Waitlisted )

[TTPBs]: I think we can report the disrespectful behavior of Columbia Engineering Graduate Admission to the school. They are not fulfilling their responsibilities at all.

TTPB: I don't think so.. And this is what really disrespectful. Making applicants wait for a half of the year without any notice. Is this how the Columbia treats their student?

University of Lisbon. Bachelor's in Computer Science (IST). Final grade of bachelors: 17/20. Exchange student at EPFL for 1 year with average 5/6 in the Spring semester. No research experience. One year work experience (not in a big company). I also worked with an EPFL lab during the exchange.

TTPB: all the remaining applications are rejects, and the intern application season for summer 2022 is going to start, no need to wait for Columbia otherwise you will just waste your time and lose your chance for finding an internship

TT Post(s) Below: Is any of us waiting as an international applicant? I thought that colleges could not be this late in the decision-making as this makes joining difficult.

(Still waiting) I am on the same boat with a reactivated application. It is terrible that they are making us wait this long being so "reputable". No communications or responses from folks in the Columbia office. Somewhat telling of how little they care...
