  • This is the sentence from the email "Please find attached a letter from the Chair of Admissions, Professor XXX informing you that he has recommended to Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences that you be admitted to our Ph.D. program in Economics." I think you still have your chances even though you haven't received an email. Just wait for a few more days. Good luck!

  • Did anyone who was accepted to Columbia have a last name starting with a letter at the end of the alphabet? Order seemed to be alphabetical and in our program the only people who heard had last names at the beginning at the alphabet (A-M).

  • Columbia emails are real. Go to urch and see. But in past years it seems some people have been called/emailed acceptances a few days after the initial batch, so don't give up yet!
