  • I have good connections with a few professors at Yale. Their kindness and professionals made me decide to apply for a Ph.D. at Yale, but unfortunately, it is way too competitive this year. I didn't receive a FORMAL rejection letter from the department but I have talked to those professors I knew, they told me they already made decisions and I am not selected. I didn't feel too sad because I know the ones who have been selected must be better than me ;) Good luck to those who were contacted by their supervisors and congrats to those who got in(maybe you didn't realize you're already in!!!)

  • Rejected off of the waitlist. Minor in mathematics, extensive work implementing development strategies overseas. If you're American, I would not recommend applying, international students seem to have preference. This is according to Yale's PhD students, who do not speak well of the program. 3a/2r/1wl
