Biology, University Of Houston I received an email this moring which asks me to log in to check the application decision. Then I logged in and checked the decision, which says Dear XXXX, Thank you for your application for graduate study in Biology, PHD at the University Houston. After a careful review of your application materials, the admissions committee has decided not to offer you admission. As you know, admission to graduate programs is highly selective. Our applicant pool this year was extremely competitive and our admissions committee had a difficult task in making admissions decisions. Should you wish to apply again for a future term or to a different program, please visit the prospective student section of the Graduate School website before submitting another application. We understand the time and effort it takes to apply to graduate school and we sincerely appreciate your interest in the University of Houston. We wish you the best in all your future endeavors. I was the guy who posted on March 29, and I got one interview on March 26. The interview was pretty good and the interviewer praised me and talked with me for about 40 min. Everything went well until she said you are so good and do you have offers from other universities? Then I thought I should be honest and told her I got 2 offers and the names of the universities. Then, she was not happy. After the interview, on the same day of the interview, I sent her a thank letter and she replied in an email that "you are excerllent but the competition is so fierce and you are in waitlist now". I was so sad and replied that I would accept their offer and turn down the other 2 offers if they would like to give me the offer. But this would change nothing and she suggested that I accept other universities' offers. I was so sad,really. I hope my experience could help you guys.

Physics And Astronomy, University Of Amsterdam 2 years research experience. 1 summer research internship. Strong letters of recommendation. Not offered AMS scholarship (decision made on 03/29/2021), so I will not be attending.

Anthropology, UC RIVERSIDE TTPB: Hi! I got an email early on Feb 26 saying they were hoping to finish applications and send notifications "in the next few weeks." On March 29, I received an update saying they were sending offers/notifications throughout this week. Word should come very soon, good luck!

Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute Of Technology I'm so excited. Received an email to check the website after no interview or contact since submitting it in November. This is my top choice and first acceptance. For anyone who is down because they have been rejected, don't give up. At 29 I finally did it so it's never too late. Just keep trying!

Computer Science, Brown University Acceptance email stating to check website on 3/29. TTPB: I emailed them last week asking about status updates for the masters program and they said decisions should be out by the end of this week.

Economics, University Of British Columbia Received an email in early March saying that I'm in the final stage and that applicants in this stage typically get admitted, yet rejected me on 3/29. Really got my hopes up for this one, disappointed.

Speech Language Pathology, Rocky Mountain University Got emailed today about an interview for this upcoming Monday (3/29)! For anyone who has already interviewed there what was it like in regards of questions they ask you and the overall organization? They described it briefly in the email, just wanting some further insight!

Mathematics, University Of California Davis (UCSD) I was accepted 29 January 2021 and just now on 3/19 have declined the offer. I was an out-of-state student offered full funding (tuition, TA-ship). I hope this helps someone on the waitlist or who hasn't heard back yet.

Clinical Psychology, University Of Colorado Boulder Emailed PI after waiting 6 weeks from Interview Day 1/29, and was told that PI is still waiting to hear about funding and that I should not wait to accept offers from other schools... disappointing that it took this long to hear that there was never enough funding for me to be realistically considered, but I have other offers.

Physics, ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology Italian undergrad from "La sapienza" university. Good GPA (29.7/30), good SoP, 2 LoRs from renowned professors of my institution. No GRE, no publications, no prior research experience.
