International student, so excited!!

First choice, so.....ATTENDING!

After a long wait, I was finally accepted, though I will not be attending.

Find out about financial aid in the next coming days.

Emailed POI and received reply saying I have a "strong application" and that she will "look for my application when she is asked for comment by the review board". It's not an acceptance, but it relieved some worry. (Only a little)

Email from Keith Whittington DGS. Stunned. Absolutely can't believe this is real. Full funding and fellowship offered, with formal details to follow. Invited to their admitted students weekend Mar 21-22nd. Top choice.

The department received 340 applications but was only able to admit 10 percent of all applicants. Congrats to those who got in!

International student, good recommendations from 2 professors and 1 supervisor, fluent in English and French native speaker. Strong background in international law.

Form email, no mention of funding or TA/RA at this time. Anticipating a TA-ship though. 3 American undergrad degrees, AA Math & Science (honors), AA Teacher Education Preparation (honors), BA Linguistics, Education Minor (honors), TA experience for elementary school, Research experience for Professor during BA, Co-Author published paper with Professor during BA, published in "Prized Writing" during BA..... still in shock and very nervous. Accepted the offer as soon as I got it! Hope to see more acceptances from you all soon! Good luck!

I originally applied for Fall 2016. I was told that I could take two grad classes at SIS as a non-degree and could reapply for Spring 2017. I submitted my mid-term grades in my two grad classes (currently a 4.0). Got the e-mail to check my portal this morning!

MA from US & Korea (international student) POI sent me an email asking for a skype chat, was informed that I'd probably be contacted by another professor for another chat. He said they were aiming to get final decisions out by mid Feb.

Partial funding details and admission from yhe department. Official letter from Graduate School to follow. (Had 2 faculty interviews)

Accepted via email today. Had two phone calls with faculty on 1/23/17 and another on 1/31/17.

Applied Jan 15, awaiting decision

Notified via e-mail. Thankfully, they had the courtesy to inform me of why I was not accepted. I was not the right fit for the department. I suspected as much when applying, so I suppose I'm glad to know that my instincts were right. Perhaps the schools for which I thought I was the right fit will work out...
