Ignore waitlist. Has anyone already heard from the Geology department?

I have not heard back from the department since after application, There is no update on my profile, nothing at all. I don't know if have been waitlisted or subtly rejected.

I got an email from the advisor and received my letter a week later. RA funding

Received email from departmant, I am still on waiting list, if you have another offer, please deny your offer from missisipi. It is my only chance.

Really surprised. Baylor is the least competitive school I applied to. I have offers from much higher ranked schools. No interview.

Got an email from the department secretary with the letter of acceptance. Interviewed on Jan 18th virtually.

Got an email to check decision letter on application portal.

Accepted in early Feb with a generous TA stipend and fellowship award

I emailed the department about 2 weeks ago for an update on my application, they told me I was rejected THEN they spent $0.51 just to postage me a rejection letter

IGNORE WAIT LIST. No answer yet too.

Waitlisted, honestly very surprising given my fit for the project. Selfishly hoping the student who got the offer declines as this is the only project im interested in and applied to.
