I'm so sad……

Spoke with advisor in person in February and given an informal offer, unofficial department email from chair came in March, then official e-application response a few days later. Officially accepted fully funded GTA offer. I've been taking classes here P/T for the last year looking for a project and funding (I'm *not* interested petroleum, so that will limit your options here if studying Geology).

I have not been officially accepted into the program, but received full funding so I'm assuming I will be accepted.

Full funding, 23000 monthly stipend

After 3 months of department review finally rejected :(

I have been in 2nd stage of admission process (department review) since beginning of January. I asked the department on March 7 about tentative date of decision and I was told that it would be given in two weeks time. Still no decision from the department. Frustrated with the school and the department.

The never ending Stage 2. It's been two weeks, what does this mean?

Passed first round, decision will be made closer to the end of this month

answer below：I just asked the department about my application result. I am not sure if it is the same for others who haven't received the final decision. My status shows the same as yours. I guess maybe my application was sent to department so late(it was sent on March 4) and have to wait for new opening if it is possible after April 15th.

To The Other Poster Below, Did you ask about your comment specifically, or is this every application left? The website says I'm stuck in Stage 2, Dept. Review

I sent an email to inquire the process of application and was told the initial results have been sent out and I was put on the second review. The result can be known about mid April. It sounds like an rejection. But still hope a better result.

PHD turned into MS without funding, I got into several better schools than them! Applied in Dec and decision so late. Crappy School
