Graduate School Admission Results

Finally accepted. 1st author of the single paper, 1 year of research experience, 1 year in industry, a bunch of industry certificates. 2a/1p/9r, still there're some UCs pending even after the deadline with radio silence at all. Good luck everyone.

Undergraduate from VIT University, India with CGPA 8.9/10. 3 years of work experience in an MNC. 1 patent granted.

Internally waitlisted and asked to update application with another document.

4.0 gpa in CS masters from CSU. Working on my thesis in AI. No pubs. did not submit GRE. 6 AI courses. Looks like gpa only doesnt matter much. Its mostly about pubs and research experience. No response from UCR also. I guess thats a reject too.

I'm still waiting on the decision too. I tried contacting them but got no response.

Is anyone still waiting for PhD decision?

(Ignore waitlist) TPB their website mentions "Through May" for results (at least for computer science), but I'm very curious to know if anyone's heard from the CS PhD department yet?

TTPB: Congrats man. UCSD job and industry wise. There are many reports out there to show UCSD is only a ranking or two below CMU for job prospects. Mind sharing your stats? For all of us that got rejected by UCSD

applied for EECS MEng program, but got an offer from ME MEng Program. Is this program ok for international students to find an SDE job?

TTPB: Yes, I got my decision on 10th (or maybe 9th night for them). I applied to their programs in early December. Radio silence till the decision mail. And I'd say I had pretty decent-strong LORs from my college faculties (conducted research under them for 1.5 years).
