Phone call with $25k/year scholarship offer, email followed a few hours later

Received an e-mail, and the status changed to 'Accepted' on the portal

Canadian student in w/ 2k funding!

Email from my POI. Didn't expect this! Honored to even be considered for the waitlist, as I know how good and qualified other candidates are :)

Accepted with full ride across three years. Non-Arch Canadian background.

I received the same message as mentioned below! Also, I understand this to be standard practice. The way Berkeley notified was the same way (with that initial email and another one later).

To the post below, I got the same letter. I don't think they would send a congratulatory email if they were not going to be accepting us, that would be cruel.

To the person below: I received the same notification (I looked at some other forums and this appears to be pretty standard acceptance for UCLA), no word on funding. For others that received this message: was there any information provided regarding funding?

Received a letter congratulating me that the UCLA AUD is recommending me to UCLA's Graduate Division. It also said, "If approved, the Graduate Admissions Office will email you an official letter notifying you of your acceptance into the program." Did not seem like an official letter, but seems promising. Did anyone else receive a letter like this?

Got accepted into M.arch III program, though I have previous background in architecture, So I think faculty made a mistake, No News of funding yet, IELTS 8, GRE submitted, Strong Portfolio with related work experience

So excited just to be waitlisted. Will be a great opportunity if spots open up.
