Checked the website, expected at this point

I'm on the waitlist for funding, but not sure how many people already received funding offers and also how many people are waitlisted for the funding. The email says that I'm among the small number of prospect students on the waitlist(not sure it's real or not), hope I can get one. People who have better offers, please decline the offer ASAP..! thanks

TPB: My surname is in the middle. I contacted them last week and got reply: 'We are currently reviewing all completed application and hope to provide applicants with an update as soon as we are able to ...... We do not have a timeline at this point as to when all applications will be completed.' Maybe they roll out results gradually. Hope it is helpful.

Admission to DPhil with my preferred supervisor assigned, no info on funding yet.

Application for DPhil only as I have an MPhil from Cambridge, No news on funding yet.

How many people get accepted from Emory's waitlist?

Checked the website after seeing the post. No email yet.

Accepted and attended the virtual recruitment event, but waitlisted for funding.

Finally after waiting for 3 weeks. Still nothing mentioned about funding in the email by Prof Edwards. Funding decision will take 1-2 weeks more.

Not WL: My status still shows as pending. Anyone in the same boat? And what does it mean?

No email, just checked the application portal.

Not Interview: My status has been 'Ready for Assessment in January Deadline" Is it the same for you guys?

TPB: The portal doesn't show anything beyond the ready for assessment status. You can check the supporting documents page in the self-service to see if you can still upload documents - if you can't that's a sign that a decision has been made by them and you'll get an email soon. But the decision itself is always communicated via email.

[No WL] Has anyone heard from them? In January, they told me that in mid-March they would send the results

I had sent a mail to the Director of Graduate Studies and she informed me about the rejection. She wrote " The first round offers had their deadline two days ago (at midnight Monday, March 15). We usually get that around two thirds of those offers are declined. That did not happen this year. As of Tuesday morning I had nine people that had accepted to join the program, and two more are likely to accept after their extension runs out in 10 days. That has never happened before and was a complete surprise to us. Based on this knowledge I am sorry to inform you that we unfortunately will not be able to give you an offer. I am sorry to bring this message, and I hope you do super well at some other university and perhaps we meet on the job market 6 years from now. "
