Graduate School Admission Results

I was wait listed at Cincinnati, and the email reads that the wait list is "unranked". I was wondering how this works in accepting people if there is no ranking?

Knew this was coming...only a bummer because I thought my interview was fantastic. Oh well! Good luck to those who got in!

To the person asking about Rush financials - I spoke to someone in the program. She said that they only offer scholarships the 1st year, and they are up to $15k (I could have misunderstood - I haven't seen another school do that). She didn't say anything about loans though...not sure if that helps!

With assistantship covering difference between resident and nonresident tuition and ~$1800 stipend per semester.

Offered $1,000 fellowship and 20% tuition remission. Letter did not state if this would be in-state or out-of-state tuition.

Accepted with graduate assistantship.

I emailed them and was told that students are not placed on the waitlist in any particular order. This is my first choice. I really hope to get in.

I was lucky enough to have one of the lady's on the acceptance committee tell me that only applicants with a 3.5 GPA or higher would be getting an interview. There was also a GRE standard but she did not specify that. However, it says on their website that everyone who applied would be interviewed - this is no longer true because they have too many applicants. I am still waiting to get my rejection letter and it is March 14th. I hope this was helpful to those who are still waiting on an interview date.

When I called they said my GRE scores weren't competitive enough. The lady said their average GPA this year was a 3.7, and their average GRE scores were in the 60th and 70th percentiles. Good luck to everyone who's applied to schools this year. Don't give up if you don't get in.
