Graduate School Admission Results

Finally received a notification... rejected for MS Comp Sci but accepted for MS Cyber Security Engineering. Will be attending in Fall 2017! I also applied previously for MS Comp Sci (Scientists & Engineers) for Spring 2017 but was rejected. I have BS Computer Engineering with 7 years work experience in software engineering in semiconductor & defense industry. Seems like my low undergrad GPA is what kept me from getting admitted into MS Comp Sci. I will consider doing MS Comp Sci as a second masters in the future.

Did not receive the email yet, but checked the portal you.usc.edu and my decision was posted today. Very happy and will be accepting the offer. Clearly they are still sending out acceptances, so have hope!

ANY NEWS GUYS. STILL WAIT FOR DICISION please drop if you decide to go to other school. Peace

Low GPA. Other parameters didn't matter in my case.

To the poster below I am also waiting for CS PhD program admission results and it is really weird.

To the USC poster below, Did they had given scholarship to any master applicant? Does they really give some aid for student with admit? I have never seen a admit with aid from USC.

To the Viterbi guy below, is that for the general CS program or is it for all the CS programs including Scientists and Engineers?

Yo Viterbi guy you r awesome How many MS CS do them accept for fall 17. How many will them accept for spring. Do u know the average GPA GRE. I am Math major, CS minor

To the viterbi guy again. Thank you so much for the info. If only other members of admissions committee could provide such info. Been waiting for 6 months now. The longest any university I applied to has ever taken. I believe I am on the waitlist. Could you please provide stats and other details for S&E. Also, what are the odds of being admitted for Spring semester?

Hey Viterbi guy, I graduated with my CS Masters from Viterbi. Still haven't heard back about my PhD app. Would you happen to know if they are done with PhD CS admits - Robotics spec. ?

To the Viterbi guy: I'm just curious, don't you sleep? What time is it in LA? Also, do they process applications on weekends? Are you working on Monday? And why do they always send decisions at odd times? I mean, at around 2 in the night. USC is acting very random, unpredictable.

To the Viterbi guy, does USC have separate wait lists for different CS tracks or a single wait list for all CS tracks?

Got an e-mail to check the portal. GPA of 7.87/10, too low for USC I expect.
