Graduate School Admission Results

Spire says - "Depending on the size of the applicant pool, it typically takes six to ten weeks from the application deadline for the program committee to communicate their admissions recommendations to the Graduate School." It's 9 weeks since application deadline today!

TTPB: yeah man they're taking unusually long time this year. since they didnt give deferrals for last year admits i hope there'll be plenty accepts given out this time

Interviewed with a prof not mentioned in my SoP. Area: AI/ML (note: I'm a current UMass student.)

WTF is UMASS doing? Can anyone shed some light on when the school might "roll" out admits.

TTPB: Did anyone contact the admission's office? When are we expected to receive the results?

Interview with secondary/tertiary POI - unofficial admit. Contact by second POI for interview, but received admit notification before meeting.

8 weeks since application deadline. SPIRE says it takes 6-10 weeks and there are no admits yet. Even website says rolling from Jan 15 till March 15 and no admits yet. WHEN?

TTPB: Same! Someone tell me when UMass will start releasing MS admits. Rolling from Jan 15 to March 15 they wrote on the website. No admits yet !!!

Informal interview with POI after sending an email. A few days later got the offer through email by the Graduate Programs Manager and a followup email by the POI. 2 years relevant work experience in the industry, 1 in academia as RA, 2 publications (1 national, 1 international), 1 under review. Area NLP / IR / IE.

TTPB: Nah mate! I'm in the same boat as you. I've applied for MS/PhD

FIRST ACCEPTANCE!!!! JUST 17 MORE SCHOOLS TO GO!!!! 3.5 gpa, no interview, 1.5 years of research, 1 publication, 1 under review publication

Last year this time, UMassA results were out.

TTPB: Calm down they haven't run away with your application.

Guys, spire says it takes 6-10 weeks from application deadline. It's already 7 weeks now. Anyone heard anything from them or contacted them?

As the decision season is upon us, a kind request for everyone to mention at least your area, i.e., AI/ML/DS/SYS/THY/SEC, etc., while posting the result. TTPB: What is your field? Are you an international student?

I applied for MS/PhD on 10/14, and haven't heard back from them. and seeing the posts below on accepts, I'm feeling dejected and rejected:(

Reply Update: 'All decisions will be made by March 15th'. Basically, no concrete answer!

TTPB: Yes, I have mailed them and asked when can we expect MS CS decisions. Will update here as soon as I get a reply.
