seems like they really want to recruit me, not sure about the stipend yet. you get accepted into a specific research area with a recommended PI. but I think you can change throughout your first academic year,

TTPB: Not the person who first wrote, but I was accepted through a department email from a program administrator. My portal is not yet updated (just checked). It also seems like they didn't send out acceptances all at the same time since people reported being accepted before I had heard anything. Applied for astro.

TTPB: Can you share the details of the email? Was it from the dept or a POI? Is your portal updated yet?

TTPB: what was your subfield? And background?

I had received an email from my POI saying that I am very likely to receive an offer. We also had an informal call where he said that he had signed off on the offer and that it was only a matter of processing it, if I remember and understood correctly. This was two weeks ago and I haven't yet heard from the program. This is my first choice so I'm really anxious about the situation. Is it that they send all their offers at the same time?

An email notification to check the status on the website

hep-th (couldn't remember if they actually asked me my interested subfield in the application from) , no interview,

TTPB: I got an offer letter from the physics department, but they said my application still has to go through Graduate Admissions so they can verify my documents/credentials. It's “unofficial” in this sense.

Anyone know if UW is done making offers?
