TTPB: I applied to Harvard, Caltech, and Princeton for hep-th or equivalent, and I too have not received anything from them. At least for the people who said they were contacted by these universities and posted their subfields, it seems most of them are experimental, or astrophysics. Let's hope for the best.

It's July, I knew it was a no, but figured if they had anyone else still sitting in the aether. Notification was weird, mainly three lines that were very focused on letting me know a 3.0 GPA was required.

ApJ paper in prep. Applied for PhD program (and their funding) with astroparticle physics advisors, was deferred to Master's program (with no funding offers) and assigned the graduate program director as my "initial advisor" (nanoscience research). Sorry on the late notifications, but I emailed the director to inquire about funding and haven't heard anything. I saw there was a physics PhD rejection so I'm wondering if anyone else got deferred and if there might be a pathway to a MTU PhD. I'm still waiting to hear back from post-baccs and funded master's so my decision is still pending
