Graduate School Admission Results

GL to everyone else.

Accepted to DPhil. No word on funding.

I am quite disappointed. I expected an Interview at least.

Applied for the January deadline. Still waiting for the result. No notification of interview yet. Emailed to the institute and was told that they are about to send out final decisions around the second week of March.

This is an update to the previous post--- I was notified on the 20h, but the interview is scheduled for the first week of March. I didn't get any info on how fast decisions would come out post-interview. Hope that helps.

Declined offer of admission due to being accepted into top choice

Fake post: 1st, nobody will send the results on a Sunday and 2nd, the OII, along with other UK universities, is on strike until Thursday. So no decisions will be made.

To the poster below: strike doesn't affect admission decision. Not to mention that the vast majority of Oxford's staff is not on strike. I'm studying here.

Sorry to be unclear. It was not an official email that went out from OII; I contacted my prospective supervisor, who confirmed that my application had been rejected. This particular supervisor was on strike at the end of last week, but not at the beginning of this one. It was kind of them to let me know.

Contacted the DPhil coordinator over email to ask about interviews. Her response was: "We have received 160 applications for the 13 offers that we can make. We have already invited everyone from the January deadline who will be receiving an interview, and early next week we will invite people from the March deadline for their interviews. I know that this may be disappointing news. I wish you the best of luck on your plans for doctoral study."

Formal acceptance. No funding or college info yet, as expected!

Applied for November deadline, interviewed mid December, just got conditional offer today! I'm doing the DPhil part-time.
