Nuclear and astrophysics

I heard from a prof at another university that 1)Harvard has had to cut physics admissions by 50% due to COVID and 2) this year they are only allowed to send out as many offers as they have positions at a given time. So admit season might be longer as some offers are rejected and they are allowed to send out more offers.

TTPB: do you have stipend for that programs? and with whom did you contact before applying? Is there still vacancy for that post?

HEP-ex, no interveiw

TTPB: If you look at prior years, it seems Applied Physics (SEAS) comes out 1-2 weeks before Physics. My interviewer said: physics is a different day than applied physics and physics is mid-Feb. Don't worry yet!

Email notification to check status. Computational physics/ CMT

Result: 76/100. Direct admission is at 80/100 and above but I've already got my letter of admission.

TTPB: Could you please specify your subfield? And whether you contacted your POI?
