TPB: sorry actually maryland's funding has not been confirmed, at least not in my case. The official letter is not a sign of funding being secured. what a weird year.

Rejected. Canadian schools are somewhat random and though for students from outside Canada and the US. Have better offers though.

Anyone off the priority waitlist? Haven't heard anything from umd.

I received an offer from the waitlist and did not contact anyone/made no commitment to attend. It was strongly implied to me during the visit days that the department has ranked everyone beforehand; same was implied by the other top 10 schools I am waitlisted at. I think all do it, although they don't formally say it.

Generic rejection letter. I am still waiting for MA math decision, which seems more feasible for my background.

TPB: I was accepted a month ago but they were not offering any funding atm to anybody(at least it was stated that way in the letter). Boragan Aruoba sent an email late March asking if I'm still interested if offered full funding, and I replied yes. Received an email yesterday asking me to check the portal since the decision has been made, and the official letter was there. There was no info on funding in the official letter, but they mentioned the funding in the dept acceptance letter in March.

TBP: Would you mind sharing if you were officially on the WL before you got the offer on the site? Did you attend the visit week, and did you just check the site randomly or you got a mail? Thanks!
