Low GPA from freshman and sophomore year but a lot of research and two publications. Consistent upward trend with GPA and extenuating circumstances.

I received an email on Dec 15 of zoom interviews happening Dec 17 and 18. I have a B.S. of Biochemistry with a minor in Biology, did two summer internships, and a year and a half of full-time experience

Asked why I wanted to be a graduate student, why I was interested in Chicago and what my research interests were. Was a 1 on 1 meeting with chair of admissions

Was emailed by a professor who I mentioned in my SOP. Interview was 20 minutes and I was given the questions ahead of time.
