Faculty contact in Theory group. No interview.

Had an interview. Thought it went well. Disappointed :(

2nd rejection. Field: Theory. No pub.

General denial email noting the number of applicants as a constraint to competitive applications denial.

Kind of surprised but it's not my first choice anyway. 5 years relevant experience. Relevant patent. Great LORs and SOP. I guess UofW values GRE scores higher than experience.

Two pubs in top tier AI/ML conferences. Strong research background and strong LORs.

Generic Rejection Email. Area: ML/NLP. Surprised, looks like standards in this area are much higher than I had expected.
