Graduate School Admission Results

really sad-- this program made me so excited. oh well. c'est la vie.

Boo. Got my masters there.

i emailed marlene asking if there'd be any news,and she said letters went out last week. I got a form letter rejection, which is not surprising as this was my top choice and a tough one. they accepted 8 out of 110. oh well... 1 accept to ks, 1 reject, 6 more to go

They have no money and without the Dean's Fellowship (highly competitive), there is little they can offer by way of funding.

Really wish schools would send out an email instead of just posting.

Called the African American studies department. They've admitted 6. Wasn't on the list.

Starting to get Scurred

Found out after inquiry. They picked 4 people out of over 200 applicants. So sad, my top choice!

My head is bloody but unbowed! I am thankful that I have been admitted into one of my top choices even if I did not get into my top choice.

This was a back-up choice, and I got rejected so I am a little worried. One of my recs was from a prof. @ Penn state closely affiliated with the dept.

Email from Department Chair. "Unanimously and Enthusiastically rec'd." Nominated for Presidential Scholarship -- but if that doesn't come through, no funding.
