TPB: I also got admitted into MTSU PhD program in Economics sometimes around last month and also applied for assistantship and I am yet to get a decision.

Are these Duke posters trolls? They told me that the waitlist wouldn't see any movement until a few days before April 15th.

TPB: Congrats! However, it is very surprising. In the open house, they said only a few students have made their decision, and they expect they can provide information for wailisted students only very close to April 15. Has anyone else heard from them or contacted them? Thanks in advance.

Had been on the WL with Northwestern, and they had expressed some optimism for me getting in off the waitlist previously. Just emailed to inquire about my status, and they said that it is very very unlikely.

TPB: They interviewed around 10 people off the waitlist about two weeks ago, we were told they were very interested in us and were seeking to pare down the waitlist and make sure we were good fits/still interested.

Just withdrew from the waitlist at Emory. Hope this will help someone to get an offer soon!

TPB: on the same boat, was interviewed 3 or 4 weeks before and get nothing so far. Won't attend because I have found a program matches my interest.

To offer holders: Anyone accepted after the first round in January? I saw a post with a funding package for 4 years(2-5). Is it unlikely for applicants accepted off wait lists to get fully funded offers for 5 years?
