TTPB: Congrats. Did you apply to other programs within USC or just cs? Mind sharing when you submitted application and if letter of recommendations were strong as far as you know? Research experience?

yes, i was waitlisted last week. statistics degree from CSU system and working for the gov. gpa is 3.6.

Undergrad from top 30 US CS program with 3.2 GPA, good GRE, no work experience (have been unemployed for the last year so decided to do my masters). Excited!!

I don't think they have much seats left tbh. They just don't wanna leave any seats empty and hence all the waitlist drama and stuff. Anyway, glad I started the process with other admit and didn't keep waiting Word of advise: Don't let this waitlist thing ruin your masters as things are uncertain this year. Also, they aren't offering direct deferrals to international students. So, I think the spring admits are reserved for the students in the US. All the best you'll

it's hilarious, GPA 3.79, IELTS 7.5, 1 scientific reports, 1 Royal open science, 5 years working experience, h-index 4, citations more than 188, and still rejected. Anyway, the corona effect.

It's now 9/9 rejects. I honestly don't understand what went wrong. 333 GRE , 8.25/10 from a good university, 3 international conference papers. I did not expect a reject from SFU and it has really left me questioning if I am cut out for grad school. If I decide to try again, it'll probably be after two years, it is so costly! Any tips on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated.

Yes I was waitlisted few days back. I am just telling you what I got. My deadline to respond is May 26 or they will withdraw my application. My stats..CS from CSU system, 3.9 gpa..no publications..no research experience..I didn't submit GRE..

TTPB: If they're accepting you for Spring 2022 why are they giving you only until May 26 to decide? Weird, they're giving the Fall 2021 admits until June 2...

I got an acceptance email today for CS (Data Science) and CS (AI) MS programs for Spring 2022. Semester. I live in LA, so might just take it. Deadline to reply is May 26. I know its damn expensive.

Did anyone hear back from the MEng Computing and Software program? Applied early March - yet to hear anything at all.

Got the waitlist email like everyone else. Withdrew application to accept offer from another top university. FYI, on the admitted student's webinar yesterday, this other university stated they are aware of the visa troubles especially for India, and are going to offer online option for the Fall semester for those who are not able to obtain a visa in time. For those still waiting on USC decision, I would reach out to their program and ask if USC is planning on providing such accommodation for their students as well. Hope this helps.
