Graduate School Admission Results

Disappointing, since two professors had contacted me to say how much they liked my application (I was told I was on the "short list"), and the cookie-cutter letter I received was short and utterly impersonal.

Eventually I can make up my decision. Princeton, I'm coming!

Applied to ThD program, also applied to PhD (AmCiv) program at Harvard University. Rejected from the ThD but accepted into the PhD.

Very disappointing, not even waitlisted. I applied to Harvard NELC two years ago and received an email from Heinrichs suggesting I just missed it and recommending to re-apply. Two years later, did precisely that, with a first-rate Masters to boost, but...nothing.

Nasty little E-mail from POI followed by (the infamous) nasty little E-mail from the coordinator followed by nasty little snail mail explicating things.

Received a phone call from POI and an e-mail offer the next day. Seems like a great fit and I am very excited. Plus the financial aid is great!

Talked with potential advisor. It seems unlikely I'll be taken off the waitinglist.

Not a huge surprise, but would have been nice.

sad...

Totally thought it was a rejection until I opened it. Over the moon right now.
