Graduate School Admission Results

I have completed a MA in history, a postgraduate certificate in Museum Studies/Art history from a UK institution and I have been teaching college history classes for the last five years. I think my lack of a substantial art history background worked against me.

To the Mcgill poster below: could you say the deadline for giving your answer to the university? (That would give us an idea of when the next round of waitlist admittance might come out). Thank you.

To the poster below - I haven't heard anything and I had my interview almost three weeks ago. I had guessed that I'd been rejected, since they said we'd be hearing back in a few days...but it seems like no results have come in anyway.

On the first I received an email about a status change on their online portal. Shortly after I was able to access an online admit letter.

Received an email from the Graduate Director

no interview

Applied to PhD, deferred to MA. No word on funding

Email notification with the formal letter attached in a PDF. I have until April 15th to accept, defer, or reject.

Accepted via DGS, awaiting confirmation from admissions office.

Email with pdf letter of acceptance; no mention of funding on the letter

Email invite to an open house with an acceptance letter and funding offer attached

Still can't believe it

Accepted with fellowship details via phone call from chair. Good luck to everyone!

Notification via email of being "shortlisted" (from advisor) and invited to welcome weekend/graduate student symposium. Told decision would come at a later date.

Holy moly, the dean who penned this rejection needs to go back to letter writing 101.
