Graduate School Admission Results

Emailed about the status of the admissions process, got my rejection near right away. Undergrad is from UofT. Three research assistantships, strong lettres of reference, numerous principle author presentations at international conferences, clear goals in my statement, 3.5 annual GPA in my final year, but bad grades in my first three years of undergrad. Best of luck to everyone else.

I was admitted into this program early February, but I declined before April 15. Hope this helped someone out. 6a/7r/1w/0p

I saw some one posted they have been admitted. Congratulations！ I was wondering if anyone happens to know accelerated Master's program. I checked my portal service and found a piece of info saying I have been admitted to accelerated master's program, though I applied to PhD program... What does this mean? Does it mean that because I am not qualified for PhD admission so I was transfered to master? I am worried about funding...If the funding can be guaranteed, I would be so happy to accept this result because this is my dream school.

To the poster below: Some PhD programs refer/accept the applicants to an intermediate master's program if their admissions committees consider the applicants to be not qualified enough for their PhD programs. As for funding, I would email the contact person for that master's program and ask about it.

To the person below with a question about Stanford. I sense it's not going to be the best news either. I noticed a pattern in the 2019 results posts from Stanford Linguistics; all the rejection updates were posted in the first two weeks if Feb, while those accepted posted updated until the last week of Jan. I feel like I'm going to be joining the rejected party soon. But I hope the best for you :)
