Ignore Waitlist: I still haven't hear back from columbia but TTPB sorry you had to deal with such a scumbag. I'm glad Columbia managed to filter such human garbage out. You deserve getting in and should feel proud. I never met you but Im so proud of you! Ignore the haters🤓

Generic Rejection. Its raining rejects....All the best for those who got in and to others who didn't get through- just think that there is a bigger oppurtunity awaiting you in the future.

NOT WAITLIST: I still haven't gotten any email... :( Should I assume I am a waitlist?

Let me be very clear, entire process was disappointing and painful. The Uni made us wait for more than 4 months, to give rejections. The admits given are such shit profiles that their linkdin posts of their "journey and struggle to reach Columbia" are cringeworthy. And I'am pretty sure most admits are wondering how on earth did I get an admit lol. Anyways learned my lesson that merit is not the commodity valued for admissions. At least in Columbia lol. Oh also this is not the post of a bitter reject, but a reject who realized that merit and academic accolades do not matter. CGPA-9.3/6 months research experience in Computation, 3 publications, 1 conference, IELTS 8.0, GRE-322, 1 year work experience. Diploma in DS.

Rough day. Congrats to everyone who got in, and hope everyone who got cut is doing alright. A rejection isn't a reflection of your self-worth (something I know I struggle with sometimes), and it's clear that the University had a buttload of overqualified candidates. All the best to everyone.

Tragic. This was my top choice. Wish I got in, probably going to NYU now.

I thought that the situation might change with high chances of deferments from India for Fall 21 cycle. Anyway, I already accepted another great university but heartbroken ... uggghhhhh

Asian Male. Graduating salutatorian, won mathematics awards, high GPA, hold executive positions on multiple campus extracurriculars but submitted without GRE. Absolutely heartbreaking as I submitted early and crafted my essay about how it was the only school that I'm applying to since it was my dream school. I spent 4 years in college to build up to this moment. I guess I have to work harder.

Received email to check the website, accepted another offer anyway, good luck to those still waiting!

As said the result is out at the end of April. I have just received mime and it was as expected :(

Yes I think so too, I did not see any relationship between admissions and GPA or GRE scores, it is a little mystery. But yes I'm really pissed with the Uni which has no sense of whatsoever. You gotta understand that it's students who are waiting for results: all you gotta do is update, rejected or waitlisted than make them wait till the end with hopes lingering and rejecting them on their face. Pathetic.

TTPB: I HIGHLY doubt that its based on just GPA... I have a near 4.0 GPA and submitted my application all the way back in early January, and yet I still haven't heard anything from the program. I saw many admitted people who posted on here with lower GPA and/or GRE scores than mine, so I don't think its sorted by GPA/GRE at all.

So the results will be uploaded on 30th? A few observations, saw the profiles of the candidates who have been accepted. Was surprised to see the profiles and wondered if the Ivy league status is as selective as they claim. It is not tough to get in, just a lil bit of luck, have seen generic profiles make in. If mass rejections are coming up then Columbia must face consequences of wasting 3.5 months for doing so, an applicant pays money to be reviewed and needs answers to decide on other programs and get Visas as well. Reflects extremely poor on the program and University. All the best guys, brace yourselves.rn
