Waitlisted, but this is my top department. If you have accepted another offer, please consider declining here soon. My fiancé was accepted to another program at OSU, and we would really like to attend the same institution.

Received an email informing me I was neither accepted nor waitlisted, but that they expect numerous students will withdraw from consideration, so the status of my application may change.

Not rejected, but not accepted or waitlisted either. It's still one of my top choices and I haven't heard back from my #1, so I'm not going to rescind my application just yet.

I have been placed in the middle third of the wait list. As OSU remains my top choice among my pending applications, I'd sincerely appreciate if anyone could decline their admission early. In return, I'm committed to promptly releasing my own unwanted offers to create opportunities for fellow applicants. This mutual consideration could help us all achieve better outcomes. Thanks!!

“The graduate admissions committee for the mathematics Ph.D. program at the Ohio State University has concluded its review of applications. We have made our first two rounds of admission offers as well as our wait list. Although your application is currently not on the wait list, we expect that numerous students will withdraw from consideration between now and April 15 and thus the status of your application may change. We will reevaluate our wait list regularly until April 15 and we will inform you promptly if your status changes.”

I accepted another offer and will withdraw next two weeks if it helps anyone. Best of luck
