Had one interview in Jan.

Ignore Waitlist: For the last few weeks I was constantly mailing them to inquire about the status of my application. Heard nothing so got fed up and withdrew my application. Was the wisest if decisions. No point waiting. Had a better offer at some other place anyway!!

Soft/unofficial rejection after emailing for an update. Wasn't told no, but that my chances are "slim" so I'm taking it as a rejection.

Finally! All results in now. Was not a good match - so makes sense.

Sent them an email to ask for updates to my application a few days ago and today I got the rejection. As if I pushed them to reject me :/

IGNORE WAITLIST; Have anyone heard anything recently? There is a minor change in the portal. Earlier, it showed that my application was under review, and now that tab is gone. Does that refer to my rejection?

Have any folks who received the "active consideration" notice last month received further news? I have not heard anything yet.

Officially accepted via email, I guess I was informally accepted early January, but confirmed with my PI to attend McGill last week! (Note: the portal/application status has yet to be updated) Good luck to everyone! Bonne chance!

TTPB: me too haven't heard anything from UCONN's physics department. Have you contacted anyone? (POI or admission committee). May I know which Research Group or Professor you mentioned in your application and personal statement? Your reply may help me.

I was the one who asking before. TTPB, Thank you very much for the info. It has been months since I submitted my application on Nov 2020. Hopefully our patience will bring a positive result. Do you know exactly how many masters slot available? I have been looking for their ScM statistics and I only found this h**ps://ww*.gradschoolshopper.c*m/gradschool/sclisting.jsp?rec=281 . 40 admitted of 319, but this data is unclear whether it is combination of both ScM and Ph.D or Ph.D only. Also, Do they conduct interview for the ScM program? :)
