Received reject after 30 hours of "update pending" on website.

Received an Update pending mail yesterday morning, and now the status has changed to denied.

Hello, I've heard Amherst allows one to defer their spring admission into fall. Just wanted to know if anyone has already done so in the past before applying.

Did someone else who's status get changed to Update pending get an admission decision? If so, how long did it take?

Got an email saying that status has changed on Jan 17. Status changed from Under Review to Update Pending. It changed to Accepted on 18th with acceptance letter on SPIRE system

I don't know what went wrong. Waiting for my other results now.

Had an interview early Jan, got an email to check status on spire last week on 20th with acceptance

reply TTPB, area is AI/ML. The prof is one of the profs I have mentioned in my SOP. I have 3 published papers, few years of industry experience. My total experience in the field is about 5 years.
